They will say, “Oh, you have no strength in your legs.” Now, you have to remember that this is a general weakness and it is not limited to just your legs. You have strength in your arms, shoulders, neck and throughout your body. As you are training to develop the muscles, you are also training how to control the muscles. Your body is not a mass of muscle, it is a series of fibers.
So, as you continue to learn how to train your muscles correctly, you will also continue to improve your body’s ability to control the muscles. As a result, your ability to move better is enhanced, while you also are able to get the greatest amount of out of them. When you perform a movement, you use the muscles to do the work. These muscles, which we now begin to train, are called the skeletal muscles. The muscles which are involved with the movement when you stand up and walk, for example, are called the muscular system. The muscle responsible when you do the exercise is called the muscle doing the work.
